GEIRANGER, norway - Day 9 - July 20, 2023

This morning we got up early with most of the ship to sail into Geiranger. Geiranger, Norway is located at the far end of the Geirangerfjord a UNESCO world Heritage site, which is one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen. The sides of the fjord are about 3000 feet high with waterfalls coming down everywhere - it is spectacular. We went by the Seven Sisters Waterfall. It is tough to see all seven waterfalls, but they were there.

We had lunch with the Whale & Dolphin Expert on board, Robin Petch. Due to my long ponytail, I had been mistaken for him multiple times already on this trip. The first place it happened was in Bergen in Edvard Greig’s house. I had no idea what the lady was talking about until I saw Robin. He allowed Shelly to get a photo and we had a running joke the rest of the cruise!

We tendered into the port in Geiranger and took a bus to the Jostedalsbreen National Park to see the sites and have lunch. We saw the Videfossen - a beautiful cascading waterfall right next to our lunch spot at the Hotel Videseter. We ended the day at the top of Dalsnibba, an amazing overlook.
