ALPINE MAGIC EN ROUTE TO ST. MORITZ - Day 8 - september 26, 2022

This morning we took a bus ride back into Italy to Lake Como. Lake Como has become very famous as George Clooney’s home and everyone talks about it! We took a lovely boat ride across the lake to the town of Bellagio for some excellent Gelato. Following a very good lunch in the Grand Hotel in Menaggio we climbed the Maloja Pass and all of its switchbacks back into Switzerland to St. Moritz. Our driver, Bruno, did a wonderful job with the switchbacks - yet another time I was glad I wasn’t driving!

We stayed one night in St. Moritz at the Schweizerhof Hotel. We all had a long day of driving and needed to be up very early in the morning to catch the Glacier Express train so very little was done in St. Moritz except have a good dinner and get some sleep
