Wurzburg, germany - day 8 - july 14, 2019

We had another late port call day in Wurzburg. We are on the Main river now and it is much smaller and full of locks, so we don’t move as much each day. The excusion today was to the Wurzburg Residenz. Wurzburg and the Reisdenz were mostly destroyed in a fire bomb raid during World War II. They have used photos to reconstruct the Residenz to a close reproduction from before the war. It is a very ornate place that in my opinion is quite overdone. We had a nice tour of the town where I found out that I might be Franconian - I don’t give complements and I love being on time!

Mirror Room in the Wurzburg Residenz - Not my photo - They did not allow photos inside - pretty ornate!
