olympia, greece - DaY 18 - March 23, 2023

This morning we had an early morning ride to the Ancient Olympia. This is a fairly large site and I found it to be very surreal knowing that they started games here in 667 BC and held them for 1100 years. They still light the torch each Olympic at the original altar. Our guide, Stratus, was excellent and gave us a very good overview of the ancient games and what the site must have looked like centuries ago.
